Southern Women's Show recap
Posted on 27 April 2016
The Southern Women Show was such an amazing experience. This was my first time participating in such a big show. I have met a lot of wonderful people. I have also gotten a lot of great feedback. I got some great advice from the ladies of ‘Let’s talk towels’ and ‘Tomboy Tools with Brenda Brewster’ on how to showcase my amazing products: from holding on to a clutch while speaking to a customer to demonstrating how to tie a bowtie to customers wanting to learn. I enjoyed helping customers pick hair accessories that would fit their hairstyles and personalities.
I have also gotten great feedback from you as a customer on what you are looking for: from bags with handles to selling just the fabric and more. I will definitely take those into consideration when designing my future products and expanding my product line. I have also gotten a few custom orders that I am still working on. The last order should be in the mail soon. This order is a diaper changing pad and nursing cover made with my favorite fabric.
I have also expanded the product line on my site to accommodate the ease of making custom orders. You will now see a custom order tab on my website along with a custom order product in each category such as bags and purses.
Thank you to everyone who participated in the bowtie tying contest. It was a successful event. I believe although they are not the easiest to tie, with practice you can get better at it. The winner of this event won by tying a perfect bowtie in 40 seconds. She has had some practice in her days. My bowties are handmade with such bold and fun colors, they are great to make any outfit pop.
Thank you so much for joining the mailing list. With joining, you were entered into a raffle to win a handmade clutch. I know you have been waiting patiently to see if you were the winner. And the winner is Mary Wade. She has selected this beautiful magenta, teal and blue clutch. This clutch can be purchased here.
I look forward to meeting your future needs. Again, if you need something made that is not currently on my site, please do not hesitate to contact me. I will continue to keep you informed about new products, events and future sales.
